Svetovid is the god of the visible world, the counterpart of Triglav, and is associated with the white horse.
He is the 4-faced deity, and is the defender against evil forces. He is the all-seeing (all 4 directions, all 4 seasons, etc..), which makes him the natural ruler of justice (represented by his sword), including punishment as well as protection.
He is also a god of the summer harvest, grain in particular, which ensures prosperity for the people (referring again to protection of his people).
He is sometimes considered to be the god of love (in a protective manner) when he wields a bow. A bow, in the hands of a deity, symbolize love; when the bow is wielded by mortals, it symbolizes war.
